Procedural Dermatology

Procedural dermatology encompasses non-surgical interventions performed using specialised equipment (cryotherapy, IPL, laser) for the treatment of skin conditions without incision.

At our clinic, we offer a comprehensive range of devices, so that for every lesion the most appropriate and safe method can be selected. In all cases, careful dermoscopic assessment is performed before treatment to rule out malignancy.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen is a rapid and effective method for the treatment of benign skin lesions. It is primarily used for warts, skin tags, seborrhoeic keratoses, and actinic keratoses.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

IPL is a pulsed light technology that effectively treats facial vascular lesions (telangiectasias, rosacea erythema) and pigmentation (sun spots). A series of sessions is usually required for optimal results.

Nd:YAG Laser (Quanta Duetto)

The Nd:YAG laser of the Quanta Duetto system targets deeper and larger vascular lesions, such as small and medium-sized leg veins, haemangiomas, and persistent facial vascular lesions that do not respond to IPL.

Indications:
• Warts (common, plantar, flat)
• Seborrhoeic keratoses (benign growths in older adults)
• Actinic keratoses
• Skin tags (on the neck and underarms)
• Facial telangiectasias (broken capillaries)
• Vascular erythema of rosacea
• Haemangiomas
• Freckles and sun spots
• Small leg veins

Equipment:
• Cryotherapy unit (liquid nitrogen)
• IPL for pigmentation and facial vessels
• Quanta Duetto (Alexandrite 755 nm + Nd:YAG 1064 nm)
